The Philosophy of our Practice

A Primary Care Physician should serve the patient. There should be no incentives or encumbrances to interfere with the decisions for appropriate services for the patient. The physician should be able to assist the patient in selecting the most appropriate specialty services when necessary. The patient should be able to speak personally with his/her physician when urgently needed at any time of any day.

The primary healthcare team should be attentive and concerned about everything that affects the health and well being of the patient.

Services provided should be courteous, efficient and as convenient as possible.

The Policies of our Practice

After years of employment in health care systems in the Triangle area I have decided to establish my own practice to embrace the philosophy stated above. My income will be exclusively from fees for services in my office. There will be no contracts with referral services that have utilization or referral incentives.

My knowledge of specialists and services in the area will allow me to help my patients chose the best and most efficient specialist or service that might be required. This will include hospitalization for serious illnesses. As more illness is treated outside of the hospital, those admitted are usually seriously ill and are best served by sub specialists, such as pulmonologists, hospitalists or cardiologists.

My personal commitment to my patients is that I will be available by phone or pager 24/7 (when I am in town) you're your urgent needs. A competent coverage will be provided when I am out of town.

Payment

Insurance for accepted plans will be filed. All payments due from patients are due when services are rendered.

Waiting Room

There is one waiting room for patients - children or adults. We will try to provide entertaining and educational materials for the children (you may also bring your own) but we ask the parents to supervise their own children.

Urgent Medical Needs

If you have an urgent medical need at any time, call the office number (919) 367-9355. Someone will answer the call or there will be instructions on the recorded message.
